This is one for all you budding chefs out there…

We've teamed up with the fabulous folks at Hartingtons of Bakewell to create a brand new programme of gourmet cookery courses.

Kicking off on Monday 19 November with a masterclass in Tuscan cuisine, these courses finally give ardent foodies the chance to don the chef’s whites themselves and join the Nonnas brigade for an inspiring day of expert kitchen coaching.

On this full-day (9.30am - 4pm), hands-on course, working alongside Nonnas' chefs, you will learn to prepare and cook four Tuscan dishes, followed by a tasting of what you have prepared for your lunch, before taking the remaining dishes home to delight your family and friends.

Tuscan dishes are traditionally full of big meaty, hearty flavours, especially in the autumn when warming food is just what is needed in this mountainous area of northern Italy. You will prepare the following classic dishes:

Pasta fagoli zuppa
Satisfyingly filling soup of pasta and borlotti/cannellini beans. A classic example of simple gourmet food.

Farro risotto with porcini and red wine
Hearty Tuscan dish, packed full of Italian flavour.

Stuffed rabbit leg, figs, vin santo and pancetta
An autumnal favourite - vin santo is a sweet wine that lends a new dimension to the dish.

Traditional cake made with chestnut flour and rosemary

Join us for this inspiring, authentic Italian cookery course - book your place now!

Other courses in the programme will include sessions on perfect pasta, 'torta treats' and a focus on seasonal and regional cooking too.

Keep an eye on our website for further course details as they are confirmed. Or why not sign up to our mailing list (top right of this page) to keep up-to-date and inspired.
