NONNAS... A HISTORY
When we opened in 1996 we had the ambition to share our passion of authentic Italian foods and the country’s fabulous and diverse wines with the British public. We has no great business plan, just a desire to bring the true taste of Italian life and its culture to our part of the world. We had no idea where our dream would lead us when we bought the former butcher’s shop on the corner of Ecclesall Road in Sheffield. Now 13 years later, we have expanded into Chesterfield, this brand new 2- storey building contains downstairs a 80 cover restuarant, private dining room, delicatessan and open bakery, baking fresh bread daily; whilst upstairs, the Milanese bar perfect for events and groups operates a weekly DJ. The south facing terraces both up and down, offer diners the opportunity to enjoy the British summer. But that’s not all, with a Tuscan rentable holiday villa for 2- 10 people in the hills of Pescia (between Florence and Pisa), our first book Strada della Nonnas (on sale in Harvey Nichols), and a catering company (Nonna’s Catering), we are more than just an Italian restaurant...

Nonnas upstairs lounge bar is available to hire for private parties... breakfast meetings, weddings, leaving parties, engagement parties, lunch seminars, birthdays or any other special occasion.
Nonnas restaurant and upstairs lounge bar is available for private hire daily, with free hire on Mondays, licensed until 1am, all we require is that your party is for a minimum of 50 people to hire the bar and a minimum of 75 people to hire the restaurant... please ask the manager for more details. As every function is different we tailor each event to your specific requirements.
